The Balkan region is multifaceted in many ways. A caboodle of religions and identities, but with a parallel turbulent history. An outcast in the European political scene, but with an eagerness and potential to cover ground quicky towards 'the west'. At the same time, their differences and troubled history uncovers a frail balance, where any escalation could open pandora's box across the whole region.

This collection tries to encaptulate the interesting paradox of a rich history and tradition, one that is (re)finding its feet in many ways.
